CONFIRMED Nurses to return to work today

Nurses all over the island who called in sick on Tuesday and protested the government's payment plan for 2016 are expected to return to work today. This decision to return to work was confirmed by President of the Nurses Association of Jamaica (NAJ), Janet Farr after an emergency conciliation meeting at the Ministry of Labour. Farr says that the NAJ will be meeting with the Finance Minister, Dr. Peter Phillips. Over the course of Tuesday and yesterday, hundreds of people were inconvenienced as hospitals and various clinics were forced to operate in emergency mode because of under-staffing.
