The police yesterday recovered the service pistol of Constable Lynden Barrett, who was killed by gunmen in Denham Town on July 21. Reports are that at about 12:05 a.m, a team of officers was on a patrol in the Wellington Street area of Kingston 14 and saw a group of men that aroused their suspicion. The men were accosted and searched and a Glock pistol and eighteen 9mm rounds of ammunition was found on one of the men. The man is now being held in connection with the seizure but his identity withheld pending further investigations. Further checks revealed that the gun was the service pistol of the deceased Constable Lynden Barrett.
